Roseville, CA – There comes a time in our lives when we must think of the family who will survive us, and for many of us, that includes pets. The Placer SPCA is offering a free workshop titled “Ensure Lifetime Care for Your Pets Through Estate Planning” on Thursday, May 10 at Sun City, Roseville. Attendees will learn whether a separate pet trust document is necessary, who to name as trustee, and how much to set aside.
“Those of us who cherish our pets as members of the family will do what it takes to make sure they are loved and cared for their entire lives,” said Placer SPCA CEO Leilani Fratis.
The workshop is sponsored by the Law Office of Lynn Dean and Associates, and presented by attorneys Colleen Watters and Lynn Dean.
“Providing for your pets doesn’t have to be complicated,” said Dean. “But you do have to be sure to state your wishes specifically.”
Advance sign-up is requested for this free event that includes a light lunch. Those interested are asked to contact the Placer SPCA at (916) 782-7722, extension 102 or (530) 885-7387, extension 102 or funddevelopment@placerspca.org. This workshop is for educational purposes only. No one will be solicited to purchase services.
Local companion animal welfare experts, the Placer SPCA offers many services for the pets and people of Placer County thanks largely to the generosity of individual charitable donations. Learn more at www.placerspca.org/giving.
